Celebrate, Jesus, Celebrate

This post brought to you by inspiration from Kelle's post: The "Can't Also" Crisis and Sorting Out Identity Issues at 35 Years Old: also know as A Great Many Things, Part 2.

My favorites:
Stop worrying about your identity and concern yourself with the people you care about, ideas that matter to you, beliefs you can stand by, tickets you can run on. Intelligent humans make those choices with their brain and hearts and they make them alone. The world does not deliver meaning to you. You have to make it meaningful…and decide what you want and need and must do. It’s a tough, unimaginably lonely and complicated way to be in the world. But that’s the deal: you have to live; you can’t live by slogans, dead ideas, clichés, or national flags. Finding an identity is easy. It’s the easy way out." -Zadie Smith, On Beauty

“When you’re not being who you really are because you’re trying to make sure you’re being real, then you’re denying who you are—that, in turn, is phony.” -Kelle's friend, Wylie

Growing up in 5 different states gave me a lot of beautiful things and who is to say that I cannot love them all? Moving around opened my mind, strengthened my confidence, and exposed me to love. Love doesn't always look the same. After all, Jesus was love in a manger, at a well, in a burning bush, in a rainbow, and on a cross.

It is okay if you don't fit the mold.
It is okay if you want to wear a tutu and cleats.
It is okay if you want to save the children and the whales.
Whatever you do, be full of passion, and do it!

In this season I'm obsessed with:
- the benefits of breastfeeding and the risks of formula feeding
- Burt's Bees
- choosing life and adoption
- reminiscing on the days I spent on the coast
- how to get more than 3 hours of sleep.
- babywearing
- "styling" my home.. or at least dreaming about it.
- stepping away from social media to really "live"
- CFA
- listening, really listening, to music again

Scrambling to put the sparkle back in my life. To ENJOY every day. To be a better friend, wife, daughter, sister, and mother. Vowing to hold tight to creativity and spontaneity. There is always a reason to celebrate and that is what I want to do. If we don't learn how to celebrate now, what will we do in Heaven? We are going to celebrate a lot in Heaven. We'll have a perfect Savior to sing songs to, Paw-Paws to hug, victory over satan, no more tears, and new bodies. Hey yeah!
