Welp, March 2013 to March 2014 has come and gone. It brought a lot of goodness, some hardships and taught many lessons a long the way.
Highlights:
-Finding out our first child was a BOY!
-Vacationing in the mountains.
-Canning pear preserves for the first time. Together and very pregnant.
-An adopt-a-dog, Dollie.
-Laboring together for 6 hours.
-Birthing Hank together.
-Anniversary dinner. Just the two of us.
-A new cat, Fluffy.
-A new cow, Moon Baby.
Lowlights:
-The anniversary trip we never took due to pelvic rest and morning- I mean all day- sickness.
-Rough patches while adjusting to parenthood.
-Giving Dollie away.
-Possum disappearing.
-Shirley the cow dying.
Two years later:
Will is still my biggest cheerleader. We still enjoy hanging out with each other over anyone else. I've watched Will fall in love with Hank. Will still dreams about more land and farming. I still dream about being a housewife. Our teamwork has improved big time. Will has shown me enough grace for a lifetime.
This year we're looking forward to taking Hank to the beach, making progress on Will's building, celebrating a lot of Hank's "firsts", and who knows what else.
Marriage isn't always the most fun but knowing that no matter what "we're in it together" gives us an advantage. When we are weak, He is strong. It is really insane that you can be uglier to the one you love the most and they still love you and want you.
