Thank you to China and back...
Well, I am not homeless. You are not surprised I'm sure. We moved last weekend into a very nice town home that is seriously located one minute down the road from our old house. We also have 2 new roommates. Erica and Chariane. These girls are great. We found them through the classifieds posted on the rock and the flood's website (two local churches). Thank you Jesus for technology. We are settled in and loving it. God is so good. So good. For real. As we were moving last Saturday Janie decided to play with a bee. Again. This time the bee sent her body into anaphylactic shock and stole about $500 from my bank account. That is a bummer. However, I am very glad she is alive. I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to those of you who prayed for the very desperate and stressed out me a few weeks ago. The prayers are greatly appreciated. This is what has been going on around here. Hopefully I'll get to blogging about more interesting things soon. This is real life though... church planting and California living aren't all that glamorous at times. I moved last weekend, sat at the DMV for over 2 hours on Thursday (I'm a legal CA driver now! I passed my driver's test!), I dropped off a bridesmaids dress to be hemmed on Tuesday, I have to appear in court soon, I have to raise a lot of money for the mission trip I'm going on, I have to somehow get health insurance and shots, get a passport, and pay for all of these things. Joyous grown up junk. In the words of my precious mother, "Maggie, think about what you do have. A nice safe place to live, clean water to drink, money (even if it's not a lot) in your bank account, a live dog, and so much more." She is right. I have no room to complain. I am richly blessed.
