On my plane ride home for Christmas I met a bunch of southern gentlemen. They are all working in California for months at a time. They live in hotels or apartments, work 12 hour days, 7 days a week. The joys of construction. So anyway, I sat in between 2 big country boys. Adam and Derek. They have been best friends since they were 8 years old. The fought over the better truck... Ford or Chevy. Their accents made me smile. They told me about a friend of theirs back home that could run really fast. So fast that he chased down a rabbit and killed it with an umbrella. HILARIOUS. One thing is for sure, you don't hear these kind of stories in San Diego. It was so refreshing in a weird way. I told them that when they got a day off they had to come down to SD and see the sights. That is exactly what they did! They came down on a Sunday. I had a lot of fun showing them around and soakin in the southerness. After a day of being tour guide Ellenor and I brought them back to the house and made them a home cooked meal with some sweet tea. The poor boys eat out for EVERY single meal. Hotel life isn't the best I suppose. They really enjoyed themselves. The funniest part is... Ellenor sent them home with a gallon of sweet tea and Derek looked at us and said (with the thickest accent), "Man, ya'll are cool!" HAHA

Maggie! It was so good seeing you this past weekend! I love you so much!
How cool you made friends on the plane. I'm usually about to throw up so I always look down or out the window to avoid a conversation so I can concentrate on getting off the plane! Ha
And those girls in the last post are just too ridiculously cute!
only you maggie would make strangers into friends on a plane ride! ;) love ya!
