You know what can put a damper on the Thanksgiving and Christmas spirit? JURY DUTY. All day yesterday and we have to go back Monday because they didn't even dismiss anyone therefore they haven't decided on a single juror! I say "we" because my friend Renee also has jury duty. Out of all of San Diego county Renee and I had jury duty on the SAME DAY! Which was awesome because we rode together, had breakfast, watched one of Renee's favorite shows during our lunch break, and just simply got to hang out. Then out of a huge lobby full of people we were chosen to be on the same case.
I'm just going to be honest and tell you that we did A LOT of complaining about jury duty, the slow system, the waste of tax dollars and on and on and on. However, at the end of the day we decided that it is not by accident that we are doing our civil duty together, in the same courtroom, and that this could potentially be a lot bigger than we could ever imagine. I'm a little worried about not working next week. You see, if I don't work, I don't get paid. BUT God is bigger than that too and I believe that He will continue to provide for me like He always has. So, watch the headlines... I doubt it, but, our new friend- Angela, Renee, and I could be determining proper punishment for a fellow citizen. HAHA. What a joke... if SD only knew me... they would not even send me a summons!
Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas. YAY
