I don't know why I cling to the past like I do.
The thing is I do have a really great past. I have made the best friends, been great places, and created unbelievable memories. However, where I am in life right now is absolutely wonderful as well and I don't appreciate enough sometimes. Who would have ever thought that I'd live in San Diego, watch a church take off from the ground up, and spend my Friday nights on the cliffs in Point Loma. I know that my future will only be greater judging by God's past faithfulness. So I will continue to dream and no longer cling.
Philippians 3:13&14 says, "Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

girl...check this out...this is something I learned in Bible study a few weeks back..."sometimes our biggest hindrances is the last great thing God did"...for me I was "boxing God in to what He did in Philadelphia"...it was TOTALLY awesome, but He is still God TODAY and wants to CONTINUE to MOVE!! He wants to build on what He did there in the life of my family, just like He wants to build on what He did in your past...don't box Him in like I did...let him MOVE TODAY! love you girl!
as always. amen. the end. preach it sister.
