A Hank Funny

I have been working with Hank on listening and obeying. For those of you who think he's too young.. just come over and watch as he looks at me while doing the exact thing he knows he shouldn't. So a little tid bit of a normal disciplining conversation goes like this: "Hank, do not throw rocks at Princess again. We have to be kind to our animals. Plus she has a hurt leg." Hank throws rocks. I look at him. He immediately says, "Yes ma'am."

We obviously have a ways to go. I usually discipline him and then tell him, "When mama tells you not to do something you need to listen and obey. Yes ma'am?" And he repeats, "Yes ma'am." So I guess he thinks as long as he says "yes ma'am" it excuses the unwanted behavior.

That boy, he makes me laugh. Will calls me a sour patch kid and I'm pretty sure Hank inherited the sour patch gene. I could just squeeze him, regardless.
