EIGHT {8} Months!

Somehow you are an even happier baby now than you have been already?!
-Yesterday at BabyCafe you weighed 19lb 9.5oz.
-You can officially pull with your arms and push with your feet to scoot wherever you want to go.
-You mastered that skill on the hardwoods last week and now you are no longer limited by any surface.
-Sunday night you went to bed at 8pm, nursed at 9:15 and didn't wake up until 7:15am! I didn't know what to do with myself so I got up around 6:15 and made Daddy and Uncle Todd eggs on toast. That sleep felt so good after the week before when you were waking every 20 minutes. (One night between the hours of 8pm and midnight you were up 8 times!) I blame your future teeth.
-Yesterday you followed me all around the house, crawled behind the TV and chewed on the ipad charger. Fun days ahead, my curious child!
-One of my favorites lately: When I ask you if you want some milk you sit in my lap with your mouth open just waiting. Adorable! I often tell your daddy that we are going to nurse forever ;)
-Yesterday when I put you in your carseat you said "ba ba ba ba". Smarty pants. Then when Aly and Tucker were leaving BabyCafe you put your hand in the air and told them, "ba ba ba ba" (bye bye). I. want. to. squeeze. you!
-Sunday after spending the afternoon with Jordan, I returned home and you crawled over to me. Heart melted.
-So far you have "tried" (which really means chewed and sucked the juice from) watermelon, apple, grapes, banana, avocado, and sweet potato. You like all the flavors but do not want to actually ingest any food besides mama's milk. You know what's good!
-Daddy took you and me to the TN aquarium for my first mother's day. You slept in the river part and looked all around the ocean part. Then you ate while we sat next to the river and watched the stand up paddle folks get out of the water. Then your daddy and I ate the best fried chicken at The Blue Plate. We gave you a lemon and your face said it wasn't that good but you kept going back for more :)
-Taylor and Cade kept you one day last month while your daddy and I worked for an hour or 2. Their idea! You all survived!
-You had your first fever last month when you had the croup. We never gave you any medication and you recovered pretty quickly! I hope you will learn to trust your body and the way God designed it to function.
-You love drinking out of a cup. Water or breast milk only, of course :)
- You have been obsessed with the caterpillar toy lately.
-You are still very friendly with friends, family, and strangers alike.
-I obviously could go on and on about you. You are joy. You light up our home. You sit with us at dinner every night and contently play with toys or chew on ice. You wish your daddy would throw you up in the air all day every day.

Praying that you would grow up to be brave and strong. A real man that leads his family. That stands firm on the Word. That appreciates the beauty of a woman and loves her like Jesus loves his bride. I love you, Hank Larry! Cheers to chasing you non stop in the days ahead.
