Worked overnight this weekend. It was fun, the kids loved it. I think they thought it was special that I was sleeping at their house.
My best friend, Brittany Bell Hanes (as I call her), went to the doctor today. Things are happening and that baby will be here soon! Very excited to meet Rhett. I just know he will be a doll. Adam (her husband) and I predicted that he would come on Oct. 16th (this Friday). It's lookin like we may be right?! Hooray. Brittany is so sweet, she is flying me home for a weekend in November to spend with her and Rhett. I am very excited to have some Maggie/Brittany and now Rhett time.
Pastor Todd and his wife Lisa (from my church in Carrollton: Midway) were in town this past weekend and it was so wonderful having them. One thing I love about Todd is that he will shoot it to me straight but is such an encouragement at the same time. Hearing him talk about change and leadership and exciting things to come put a new little jump in my step. So glad to be here in San Diego and a part of what God is doing. Wednesday their oldest daughter and my friend, Hannah is coming to stay with us. So pumped to have her here and hang out!
I was thinking today about how we should be grateful for the people in our lives that God has richly blessed us with. Don't take any friendships or relationships for granted. Life is too short and God has called us to love. Love, like lay down your life for your friends... love. Tame our tongues and be careful. Encourage, build up.....We're not promised tomorrow and it would be devastating for a loved one to get up and walk out. Cherish, compliment, respect and hold tightly to the ones God has given you. Ok, enough :)
I'm very pumped for Christmas this year. Almost ready to bust out the Christmas music!! This year will be Rowan and Rhett's first Christmas. I will also be home for my bfffff's 22nd birthday. Cozy, warm clothes, family, hot chocolate....mmm yes. Thank you God for the best gift of all... baby Jesus and salvation.
Love Love Love
