Saturday July 25th

I want to try to post about my days at home because they are days I do not want to forget. Basically, these posts are for me. From San Diego to Houston. About 2 hrs. Janie tucked tightly under the seat. Never makes a peep. Lay over in Houston. Saw a man with a rolled up t shirt, camo hat, mullet, nasty stache, wranglers and knew that I was home. Almost wanted to hug him :) Houston to San Diego, another good flight. Birmingham airport... I see my mom, she hugs me, I cry. We wait on my luggage it takes forever, I am again reminded that I am in the south, where things are a lot slower. On the way home we stop for dinner at a place that has no name.
It is seriously a shack and the window on the side of the house is used as a "drive thru" with a gravel drive! Across the street is Ragland's grocery store and dollar general. Big timers! This just made me smile. Then we head home, cross over the coosa a little after sunset, gorgeous. Finally, "home". Then off to my sister's in Jacksonville to get a crate for Janie. I had to really concentrate while driving on those little back country roads and get used to using my brights again. Windows down, country radio on, crickets louder than the radio. So thankful to be in Alabama. My nephew Taylor is almost as tall as me and weighs 25 more lbs than me!! Cade is so big as well, he can pick me up now. Now it is Sunday morning. Getting ready for church. Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney serenading me. Took Janie to potty in the backyard in my underwear (that is what I love the most, woods, privacy, no neighbors, haha). Swimming with the nephews today after church and spending the night with them tonight. Then off to Warner Robbins tomorrow to see Rowan!! These are the days.
